Chema Cobo Exhibition Neilson Gallery GrazalemaPicture is pure fact” "...Ludwig Wittgenstein

Chema Cobo will be presenting his most recent works at the Neilson Gallery on Saturday the 4th of September 2010. The title of the exhibition is “Erasure” and is designed for the gallery space. There will be around 17 watercolors and three oils on canvas. “I say around, because I do not know if I will have to remove some to create the overall image I wish to achieve. The images are designed to create a kind of continuity, but continuity is apparent because it is full of short circuits. So I recommend to visitors to walk and take their time because the art without taking time will not be seen, nor understood. It is better to take your time and to walk among the works so that everyone can weave their meanings create their significances.”

"`Contrariwise,' continued Tweedledee, `if it was so, it might be; and if it were so, it would be; but as it isn't, it ain't. That's logic.'" Through the Looking Glass, Lewis Carroll.

"...Light changes, time goes by, you see shadows you haven’t seen before, you see the lights that allow you to see these shadows and then a sort of intermediate world takes shape, a situation “between” things that can be seen and things that can’t, things that are said and things that aren’t, the past and the present..."  Chema Cobo
