Luis Chacón was born in Ronda (Malaga) on 28 February 1974. He has lived in Grazalema since he was a child and contact with the natural world is present in many of his works. After studying artistic design and studying music Luis decided to sell his electric guitar and replace it with a camera. And from that point began his true calling ... Completely self-taught, his first photographic projects were in 35mm film but soon switched to digital. Luis is well known in the area for his stunning portrait photography and he works mostly in black and white medium.
Has been selected in the top 100 best photographers in flickr in the social photography category (streetshot) for editing of your photos in a book titled tribute to Garry Winogrand "venustreet" compiled by the Greek photographer Kydonakis Charalampos. His first exhibition entitled "The inhabitants of Chefzalema" a work of black and white portraits he made between Grazalema and Morocco, this year introduced the artistic encounters between the two shores, "EC3" in Algeciras.
Luis is currently working as a cinematographer for the film "Blood and love in the Sierra to be shot soon in Grazalema.
In this exhibition of photography at the information centre in Grazalema, Luis finds the essence of the image in the shadows, his black and whites are very different with more black than white that leads the observer to seek out the story of the image.
Jesús Noguera Fernández is a self-taught professional photographer, working on his own studio, FOTONOGUERA in Antequera, where he creates and documents photographs for agencies with social photography as a base to his business.
www.fotonoguera.es
He is a member of AFA (Association of Antequera Photographers) and AFONAMA (Nature Photographic Association of Malaga). Jesus says that his work is not a single-issue, there is a predominance directed toward the rural, farming scenarios and corners of our Andalusia, but we can also find pictures that are bold such as the abandonment of farms and land or images that just give us peace and quiet. Jesús is a photographer who knows how to capture the most beautiful moment with a glance. It is a pleasure to enjoy his spectacular use of color and light.
Francisco Javier Pérez Menacho, started cooking at a very young age in the kitchen with his father. He began to taste and wrap the magic of the authentic Grazalema recipes and went on to discover new tastes and combinations in other places whilst learning from great masters of the kitchen such as as Dani García, Juanca, Benito Gómez, Israel Ramos and Victor Artola. Another great teacher was Sergio Lopez, who opens Francisco's mind to other concepts of food. His work has become a passion and he is currently the Chef at the Villa Turistica de Grazalema.
Francisco takes the opportunity of this event to remember and revive dishes that have been forgotten (recipes which have connections to many families in this town and whose main ingredient is as basic as flour and water)
