Founded by the Duke of Arcos "Los Baños del Duque" was also previously referred to as Marchenilla and it was not untill the end of the 18th century that the town was renamed renamed Santa Maria de Guadalupe de El Bosque. This name is, of course, far to long and so the town is almost always called simply "El Bosque". It is the administrative centre (Though it is not the geographic centre) of the Sierra de Grazalema natural park and over the last few years has undergone a rapid expansion of construction not really in keeping with the essense of a white village (pueblo blanco). Next to the bullring is the information centre where you can collect permissions for the walking routes of Garganta Verde, El Torreon, El Pinsapar and Llano de Ravel.

Molino Del Puente, Ronda
